Prey

I’m pondering my thoughts

wishing upon a star

hope that my words don’t get lost in translation

face to face with the magician

traces of his skin on mine

repenting for his sins

he shot me a grin

he looks mighty familiar

I’m searching for a trigger

he’s lurking from afar

had a thing for my play on words

studied me like I was the lesson

under his covers

spoke to me in tongues

he felt the warmth of the sun

pressed flesh to flesh

we planted seeds

gave birth to new beings

up on the ceiling

beaming from accession

I heard you got a confession

words slur

bottles full

in your bed

in your head

lay me down

prey on me
